JLP Productions is owned and operated by John Lawry.  John is no stranger to the recording industry.  He has several Grammies, Dove Awards, Gold records and now a Sesac Legacy Award to his credits.  He has gained success as an artist, songwriter, and producer. 

   With a passion for music John moved to Nashville Tennesse by the requests of Joe English who had recently left Paul McCartney and Wings.  John immediately fell in love with Nashville and decided to make it his home.

     While touring with Joe English he met the band "Petra". In 1984 He joined the band and had a ten year tenure with them.  During that time he contributed to some of the songwriting, arranging and co production on different projects. 

      In 1995 John Lawry retired from the road to concentrate on working in his own full productions recording studio.  He has been happily working since that time doing what he loves to do.  Create, record and play music.

 

     With with over thirty years in the music industry he would love to bring that knowledge and experience to your project.
